November Minutes Approved – Jacki Van Hout

Budget – Al Haber

  • Mayer Merchandise was ordered where additional inventory exists. 

  • Teacher Appreciation budget was used, lunch was provided where extra food was leftover (95 ppl).

  • Insurance policy was cleared.

Cookie Exchange – Sandy Baccam

  • Date of Exchange on 12/15

  • Parents prepare or buy baked goods for Mayer staff where there a limitation to 2 parent volunteers to be in the building with student volunteers supporting as well.

  • Parents will drop off cookies at entrance on Clifton. 

  • Option to be nut free for consideration.

  • Previously cookie tins or take out containers were used. 

Pledge Drive – Michelle Ramirez

  • Pledge Drive theme: Building Together 11/1 – 12/17 – 7 weeks

  • $350K goal and 100% participation including 100% FOM board participation early on.

  • Participation is at 33% which is higher than 2018 and 2019. A focus area is on the EC participation. 

  • Fundraising has hit $200k thru November with the company match at over $8K.

  • Potentially looking into a hot chocolate station on 12/15 along with the cookie exchange.

Sponsorship/Fundraising – Nicki McNair

  • Barnes and Noble Book Fair (12/1)

Teacher book selections/wish lists are being completed this week. Still investigating a post-fair online wish list.

Kids received bookmarks to support the Book Fair. 

    Volunteers needed still for Saturday to support any questions or stickers. 

  • 2022 targeting one restaurant sponsorship night/month. 

Benefit – Stacey Kaplan

  • Researching venues, indoor vs outdoor. 

  • Options for venue locations mentioned

    • WIT

    • Morgan Manufacturing

    • Theater on the Lake

    • Godfrey Hotel

    • Boat/Cruise

  • Potential date is mid-May, potentially May 13th or 20th. 

  • Reaching out to volunteers for committee support thru the Bulldog Blast to occur in late December/early January.

Social – Rowena Dumas/Kemper Florin

  • Dad’s Night Out on November 8th at Homeslice

   60 tickets sold, highest participate rate yet. 

   All squares were purchased. 

  • Potential Kids Event, Mom/Parents Night being discussed in the spring. 

  • Potential ice-skating event being discussed for January. 

Gallagher way ice skating or Maggie Daley Ribbon as options

Community Outreach – Sarah Polachek

  • Coat Drive (11/17-11/19)

140 coats with over 80 kids coats.

Drop off was easy for parents where everything went smoothly.

Ambassadors is working with them in February.

Cooking even has previously been done in partnership with Mayer.

  • There really is a Santa Cause being coordinate by Jen Jones. 

Potential opportunity to promote through Mayer.

  • Another drive being discussed for March or April

Miscellaneous

  • Don’t forget to sign up for the LSC meetings as representation is needed by FOM. 

  • Date needed for Walk-a-Thon, potentially Friday June 3rd (10th as a back-up). – Jen Jones

  • Merchandise to be available after school sometime in December if its available. – Nicki McNair
