Friends of Mayer (FOM) is a not-for-profit group of parent volunteers whose mission is to support Mayer via fundraising and community building initiatives in order to support the mission and day-to-day operations of Mayer Magnet School.
FOM depends on Mayer’s vibrant community to reach its mission. From attending the events, volunteering to help the day of, to joining a planning committee, there are many ways to help.

THE FUN
Spirit Week starts 5/19 to get everyone excited
Join the Pep Rally on 5/22 at 8:45am - music by Mayer students and a performance from the Jesse White Tumblers; plus, students show off their new Walkathon shirts, designed by 203's, Cammy (congrats!)

THE FUNDRAISING
We achieved one-third of our goal, let's keep it going!
Just $67 per student covers the critical gap between CPS' funding and Mayer’s actual operating costs for one school year.
Remember - the top fundraising classrooms will earn a snow cone party, sponsored by Jen's Camp, and unlock other prizes such as WAT swag, selecting their walkout song, and a chance at silly stringing AP Edwards!
DONATE now and ask friends & family to support you too - all net proceeds raised return to Mayer.

Annual Fund
The Pledge Drive, Mayer’s largest fundraising effort, begins each Fall. Parents, community members, and local businesses donate funds in support of our school’s amazing initiatives. Donations are accepted year-round.
Mayer Gala
Mayer's annual benefit is an incredible evening of food, fun, and fundraising where parents can enjoy themselves while supporting the school. Live auction and live music make for an evening not to be missed.
Walkathon
A decade-long Mayer tradition, this spring fundraising extravaganza is a meaningful way for students to get involved in raising money for the school.
