For 45 years, Friends of Mayer (FOM) has connected families, teachers and students in a shared mission to make Mayer the best it can be.

The Annual Fund is FOM’s most important fundraising effort of the year, bridging the gap between CPS funding and the true cost of delivering high-quality education and enrichment experiences.

Every contribution fuels the programs and opportunities that make Mayer exceptional, including:

  • Dedicated teachers and classroom assistants
  • Designing a robust Fine Arts & Essentials programs — art, music, PE, Spanish, library, and STEAM
  • Growing the Wellness & Sustainability program including electives for IB students
  • Expanding extracurricular athletics and clubs — providing equipment and extra meets
  • Ensuring participation through The Bulldog Relief Fund — allowing every student to participate fully in band, class trips, and more
