Program To Maximize Donations For Friends Of Mayer Walkathon
The base program is a give back program. We currently have a rewards program for our guests. Described below is how the program works for our standard member.
Description of Program for Members
• The activation of the card requires the completion of a sign up form.
• The Rewards Card is also a gift card that stores rewards in the form of dollars
• The member receives a $10 sign up bonus when the card is activated
• For every $1 spent the member earns 1 point.
• For every 100 points earned $5 is added on the card.
• At the threshold of 500 points $10 is added to their card.
• At the threshold of 1,000 points $25 is added to their card.
• When used during member’s birth month $25 is added to their card.
• Certain days at certain locations will become double and triple points days (TBA)
• The card can be used at all BOTG locations.
We propose to offer the card to all Friends of Mayer participants free of charge (we normally charge $5). Derby will have a set of cards specific to Friends of Mayer members so we can track the users points. They will be identified with a marking (sticker on them).
Derby will donate 8% of all POINTS to the walkathon in Dollars!!!
We have double and triple points nights at our various locations. On the nights of
Friends of Mayer meetings, Parent Teacher Meetings or LSC meetings we will provide a double points night at Derby. So these nights will turn into 16% donation. Wednesday is already a permanent double points night at Derby.
To keep the fun and momentum going we will track the total points of the group weekly and post them on our Facebook and Website. The program will stay active all the way up to the day after the walkathon.
We will be available at Friends of Mayer meetings to hand out cards and collect sign up forms. At any time you can come into Derby and receive a card, or you can a pick one up at a designated place at the school. Remember to complete your sign up form when you come in to Derby or the card will not activate your points.
A typical week with an average of 35 families (5 a day) and one meeting party, we can get around $220 donation a week for a total of over $5700 over the 26 week period.
Plus all the members still get their rewards!!!

The Give Back Partner program is new to Mayer Magnet School this year, and it provides donors with an opportunity to raise money for Friends Of Mayer and increase the Mayer Magnet community’s awareness of the donors’ businesses throughout the year in one of the following ways:
• Give back a set dollar amount for every service or product provided to a Mayer Magnet community member;
• Give back a set percentage for every service or product provided to a Mayer Magnet community member; or
• Create other promotional opportunities exclusively for the Mayer Magnet community.
Please note: Donations made to Mayer Magnet School through the Give Back Partner program are not tax deductible.
